Recently it has seemed like our main body of work has been focused around health initiatives and social enterprises, something which, up until last year, we had never really tackled. As each one of these new projects comes along, we encounter new challenges and are pushed in new directions. The conclusion we’ve come to is that we absolutely love these types of projects. Therefore, we were delighted when Ramblers Scotland came to us with an exciting new project they were heading up in partnership with the National Ordnance Survey.
In a push to get more city dwellers out and about, Ramblers will be promoting local routes through urban areas using their ‘Medal Routes‘ program. The initiative is already up and running to much acclaim, utilising traditional methods of promotion such as flyers, maps and posters to get people moving. However, with the increased popularity and importance of digital devices, a choice was made to develop a digital, app-based version.
Over the next couple of months we will be working hard to get an iPhone and Android version completed as well a custom built CMS for the administrators of the maps… and all of this before the end of the Commonwealth Games!
We can’t wait to share it with the rest of you.
